Pinspiration – DIY’d Art

August 15, 2012 By Vidya 5 Comments

Blessed are all the artists in the word who are able to create and share their amazing talents/works with us, mere mortals! For the rest of us, artistically challenged folks here are some short cuts to make your own art.

You prefer something whimsical? No problemo, make sure you have some cardboard, glue, aluminum foil, and shoe polish at hand. Kudos to Make it a wonderful life for such a great piece!

Can’t be bothered with all that doodling? How about some shoe box covers? Everyone has at least one of those lying around the house. Spunky Junky had a great tutorial on how to make this super easy art.

Here is another all time favorite, printing and stamping with leaves. Mommy labs mentions that pine needles, hydrangeas, or even ferns work great.

Have saved the best for the last! What do you do with all those plastic bottle caps? Stick them onto a canvas of course! Check out BlueKatKraft for the tutorial.

Ain’t that some upcycling!

Do you have a ‘go to’ easy art projects? I’m hoping that listing some of these ‘easy to recreate’ pins will spur the creative person in you too….
