There is so much good news to share today my dear friends!!!! First off my water garden is back in business! After a break of 2 years when I tried my hand at lotus growing I’m back to my trusty old friend, the water lily. If you missed my earlier posts here are my 2012 container water garden and 2013 water lilies. As with the previous years the container is set up on our deck. So far this year we’ve had rains literally every week which have kept the water moving and mosquito free with only the help of mosquito dunks (no fish yet). The other plants in the container are the Pickerel Rush, the one with the lavender flower and Big Twister Rush or the Giant Corkscrew, all bought from Lowes.
Another great news is that Whats Ur Home Story is finally trademarked. We registered the LLC back in 2015 and now with this I can cross off one of the major To Dos from my blogging list. So we are now a business officially, yay!
Last week we harvested our first vegetable of the year (not counting the lettuce as most of it bolted from the heat) from the raised garden bed, yummy and tender broccoli. Both the kids love broccoli so we’ve have been enjoying it thoroughly. My mom even made a stir fry with the broccoli leaves, who knew you could cook with those!
Did I tell you my parents are visiting? Among the goodies they bought from India are these exquisite wood block printing blocks. I already have 2 projects in mind with these.
Almost forgot here is a preview of a project that I’m working on. 🙂 Any guesses as to what I’m making with this old printer’s tray or typesetting tray?
Leaving you with one more shot of my zen corner of the deck, my mini water garden.

Your little water garden is so pretty! We built a pond this year and put in water lilies. They are blooming like crazy! They are so beautiful and I always feel like Monet should be around the corner somewhere. 🙂

Wow Stacey… that sounds so pretty! Maybe one day I’ll have enough space for a lily pond.
