We’ve been so busy the last few weeks that I’d thought we’d skip the Jack O’Lantern and go with plain Pumpkins this year. My parents who’d been visiting for the last 4 months went back to India Wednesday night. So Halloween decorating was way down on our priority list the last few days……….but then last night the kids were like, “How can we not carve the pumpkin? Let’s do some quickie last minute pumpkin decorating.” They even volunteered to look up on the net for ideas. We ended up with two Man eating pumpkin ideas and made up our own from there…..
Took us about an hour of hard work & clean up……….
The kids seem to be happy about how it turned out and thankfully are not asking for more. Either way given how big of an emotional roller coaster this week was I don’t think I would have had the energy to do anything more.
In other news, we made our annual trip to the Sky Line Drive in the Shenandoah Mountains over the weekend.
I can go on and on about how beautiful it is out there but for a change I’ll be quiet and let the pics speak for themselves.
