We have our first flower of the year! A teeny tiny dianthus.
While all the other plants are starting to wake up the carpet and knockout roses look like they are rearing to go.
I found new growth among all that brush in one of the front porch mums. The other one, still waiting for a sign of life. In the yard, day lilies, the bleeding heart, and the oriental lilies are all popping out.
Bored seeing all the new growth pics? Then feast your eyes on my neighbor’s forsythia. Ain’t that a pretty sight from our deck? I plan to add some forsythia on the exact same side of our home soon.
The salvias, hydrangeas, and the vincas are back up too.
However the plant that I’ve eagerly been waiting on, my water lily, hasn’t shown any signs of growth. I’m almost afraid that I might have lost it after 2 successful years. Hoping against hope that it comes back safe and sound.
How is your garden looking? Do you see signs of early spring in the garden?
