As the year winds down a look back into what we accomplished this year. We started off the year with a bang with the Guest bedroom reveal which was actually the sum of many mini projects; stenciled wall, felt circle pillow, poster board sunburst mirror, chair makeover, chalk board dresser, vintage frame makeover, Ginkgo pillows using fabric made from scratch.
The big room reveal was followed by a face lift of my son’s room where we moved full steam ahead on the explorer theme with the floating shelves and photo transfer wall art. Rounding off the busy first quarter was the simple tribal gold bowl redo in our foyer.
Quarter 2 was crazy busy! I think I might gotten the most done during this time! A baby shower, open terrarium, breakfast nook redo, plate wall, mirror turned chalkboard, red bamboo table, painted up-cycled bottle vases, Craigslist dining table makeover, moss terrarium, cork coasters, and strawberry pot planter all made it to the blog.
We also found few pieces for the home that we had been on the look out for for quite some time; the reclaimed wood buffet turned TV console, jute rug, and red ceramic stool.
Those 3 busy months were followed by some quiet time. Still got a few projects done like the foyer niche, air dry clay barnacles, DIY art, foyer & retreat painting, an Anthro vase knock off, and a heart break project….the vintage lace chandy while enjoying my summer garden, fiddle leaf fig, and the July 4th festivities.
On came October and a slew of projects starting with the fall mantel and porch, Halloween prep, a burlap wreath and some easy fall centerpieces. And a totally unexpected project, our powder room makeover with newspaper wallpaper.
December was all about Christmas. Of course with a totally DIY’d tree there was no shortage of projects. The no sew poster board circles garland and paper, vintage lace, egg carton amaryllis, wine cork bird, and Himmeli ornaments were super fun to make. Adding to the Christmas cheer are my boxwood, magnolia, burlap, and mini boxwood wreaths and the rustic Christmas mantel.
Wow that’s was one exciting year! So glad you could be part of this journey! I know I couldn’t have done it without you guys! Really appreciate the support. Thank U!
Hope you have a great break with your families and friends. See you back here the week of Jan 6th. I will pop in on and off during that time with some quickie updates/photos. Here’s to many more years of DIY fun! Happy Holidays!
